Burgess Park is the third of three films exploring the Artists local area through photographic animations. The piece explores the details and textures found in one of South London’s largest green spaces. Formerly the route of the Grand Surrey Canal, the shape of the park still echoes this history and maintains an air of industrial and practical functionality. By focussing on the park’s minute details the film draws on these themes to transform the space into a flickering, abstracted documentary of quotidian space.
